wHAT WE BELIEVE

-
The Bible, God’s Word, is our authority. God inspired the Bible to reveal Himself and to use it as the rule in Christian conduct (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
-
All men are born into sin through the fall of Adam (Gen. 3, Rom. 5:12-19).
-
God is one, yet three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14).
-
Jesus Christ was virgin-born into this world (Luke 1:26-35). He lived without sinning (2 Cor. 5:21). Jesus makes believers right with God regarding their sin (Acts 13:39).
-
Jesus assures salvation for the believer and keeps him eternally (John 10:28-30).
-
Salvation is by the grace of God through the repentant faith of the believer. It is a gift, not earned (Eph. 2:8-9).
-
Jesus died for the believer as a substitute (Rom. 5:6-9). He rose bodily (1 Cor. 15:1-23). He now sits as our advocate (1 John 2:1-2).
-
The unbeliever enters hell at death (Luke 16:19-31), and the believer’s spirit enters into the presence of Jesus at death (2 Cor. 5:8).
-
The Christian is to live separated from sin and worldliness (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1).
-
There are two ordinances of the church: the Lord’s Supper and baptism by immersion (Matt. 28:19, 1 Cor. 11:23-26).
-
Living believers will be raptured (caught up with) Christ in the imminent future (1 Thess. 4:13-18).
-
Jesus Christ will rule on earth in a literal one thousand-year perfect reign (Rev. 20:1-6)
